DESCRIPTION:The Edinburgh Arrow will be competed for on Thursday 18 June 2026.  This competition will form part of the RCA 350th Celebrations along with the Musselburgh Arrow\, the Selkirk Arrow and The King’s Prize. \nThe shoot will take place on the Meadows behind Archers’ Hall and will be followed by a Drinks Reception in Archers’ Hall directly after the shoot has concluded. \nShould you wish to shoot\, please sign up below. If you wish to attend but not shoot\, please indicate this in the comments box.  A detailed instruction on the day’s activities will be sent to you in due course \nFurther details about the reception will be promulgated under a separate event on the portal.

DESCRIPTION:A Reception will be held in Archers’ Hall following the Edinburgh Arrow on Thursday 18th June 2026. \nThis Reception offers us an opportunity to thank those from civic life in Edinburgh who have supported the Royal Company over the years. \nThe cost of the ticket which includes canapés and champagne (or soft drinks as required) is £40 per head. \nMrs Sue Davie\, Mrs Catriona Macdonald\, Mrs Suzie Wilson and Mrs Fiona Wallace will be providing tea during the shoot and are therefore invited to the Reception as guests of the Royal Company – their husbands need not purchase a ticket for them\, but they do for themselves! \nYou are invited to purchase tickets below.  You may invite up to four guests per Archer should you choose.

SUMMARY:New Archers Drill Weekend
DESCRIPTION:The New Archers Induction weekend is confirmed for the 27-28 June 2026 at Redford Barracks\, Edinburgh.  The idea of the weekend is to help prepare you for the role of being an Archer which will include the ceremonial aspect of our role\, archery and our social scene.  It will also give you a feel for the breadth of activity the Royal Company undertakes. During the weekend\, you will be asked to formally swear your allegiance to the Sovereign in front of the President of Council.  This will be your final hurdle to being fully accepted into the Royal Company. \nTIMINGS \nThe outline timings are 0930hrs to 1530hrs on Saturday 27 June and 0930-1200hrs on Sunday 28 June.  There will be a champagne reception and a chance to have a go at Archery from 1730-1930hrs on Saturday 27 June in Archers’ Hall. \nAll new Archers are requested to confirm their attendance below:

SUMMARY:Royal Garden Party Tickets - 2026
DESCRIPTION:The Royal Company has been allocated 400 tickets for the Royal Garden Party on Tuesday 30 June 2026.   Archers are requested to submit their requirements for tickets below. Archers are invited to apply for up to four tickets (for themself\, their spouse or partner and up to two children between the ages of 18 and 25). \n\n\nIf you intend to apply for tickets for your spouse or partner (and children between the ages of 18-25) you should include a request for a ticket for yourself irrespective of whether you might be selected for duty at the Garden Party. \n\nDue to a change in process by the Royal Household\, the information required from you has to be provided in a set format.  Please do complete each field when applying for a ticket so that the systems synchronise correctly.  The closing date for applications for tickets is Friday 20 March at 1200hrs.

DESCRIPTION:The King’s Prize 2026 will be shot for in Holyrood Park on Wednesday 1 July 2026.  In outline\, Shooting Archers will form up at 1315hrs for inspection and shooting will commence at 1330hrs.  Shooting will finish no later than 1730hrs before the Archers march formally into the gardens of the Palace of Holyroodhouse.  Prize-giving will take place at 1800hrs in the gardens.  Archers will then be fallen out to join the Cocktail Party – if they have bought tickets. \nDetailed instructions will be promulgated to those who indicate that they wish to shoot in due course. \nIf you wish to shoot\, please indicate so below:

DESCRIPTION:The traditional Archers’ Cocktail Party will take place in the gardens of the Palace of Holyroodhouse following the King’s Prize on Wednesday 1 July 2026 from 6pm to 8:15pm\, courtesy of His Majesty The King. \nThe King’s Prize will be competed for in Holyrood Park during the afternoon and you are invited to arrive early to observe the shooting prior to entering the gardens for the Cocktail Party.  It is anticipated that His Majesty will present the Prize in the gardens after the competition is concluded. \nThe cost for a ticket is £78.  Archers are invited to purchase up to two tickets per Archer.  Due to the security requirements\, we are obliged to submit a guest list in a specific format to the Palace.  You are therefore requested to complete all the details as requested when you come to purchase your ticket(s).   You have until 16 June 2026 to purchase tickets. \nThe dress is suits.  Parking will be on the east end of Holyrood Park.  Specific administrative details\, including exactly where to park\, will be promulgated once the guest list is firmed up.
